The second of my posts about the horror stories of Karl Edward Wagner is up now on Black Gate.
A terrific, insightful review! Wagner’s written some of my favorite ’80s horror tales, and I especially like the ones about the pulp-writing biz. “Sticks” and “More Sinned Against” I can read over and over. Shame that all his output is long out of print these days. And oh yeah – that’s a scan of my own beloved copy! 😉
Thanks, Will, for the comments and for being a good sport about my swiping your cover scan! The good news regarding KEW’s horror output is that Centipede Press has put out two new photo-illustrated collections. You can see them here: http://www.centipedepress.com/books.html
I have them both–plan on reading through them doing a review when time allows. I will say they look great and contain all of both “In a Lonely Place” and “Why not You and I.” Now if only the Kane novels would get a proper and affordable re-printing…
